Re: Beach report

Thanks for the Code, I had searched on my phone but couldn't really locate anything.  The guy in the lavender lair seems to have trailered his in, he had a large black pickup and trailer.  Also saw some golf cart joy riders turning around in Von driveway, different cart.

Who would you call if you didn't want to confront an unknown man in a big black pickup truck? Fish and Wildlife? Police?

Good report.

We noticed the golf cart tracks on the cut through last time we were there. I am preparing signs. There is now a golf car rental and delivery business that drops the carts at houses up and down on Ponce de Leon. I don't know how often they are cutting through on our strip. I plan to make it harder (though I don't want them to then detour around. The lavender gator report is distressing.

Subject: Beach report

We had a great time over the weekend at the beach.  The weather was nice, Va caught a lot of crabs and fish, and we mostly beached it but had one adventure to Pensacola.  Shopped at Joe Patti's seafood market and went to the local museum.

A couple of house notes.  Our outdoor garbage can is missing its lid.  This was new to me, maybe it's been like this.  I looked around but didn't see it anywhere in the sand.  I called Baldwin Co. on Monday morning and she said they will come out and repair it/add a new lid, if we leave it in the spot where the garbage is usually collected.  So, hopefully that will occur!

A storm came in the morning we were leaving and we had to leave the Kazzary tent out to dry on the X beams.  Sorry for the lapse in protocol. I also think the tent has reached the end of its lifespan, it doesn't really block the UV like it used to!

The Courthouse renters were a lively, loud, large, tattooed vaping bunch.  I don't know how they fit all the people in the house.  One evening they had a karaoke machine down by the beach and were singing under their tent, then the performance continued onto the deck.  One man was dancing around in a mask and snorkel.  Quite entertaining! They were slow moving the next morning!  Louisiana tags, they like to party!

I don't know who built the small lavender house next to the Shrimp Basket house,  but they had a gator type vehicle that they drive across their lot, then get on the road and drive to the public beach access, then drive all the way onto the beach to drop off their beachgoers, gears, chairs, etc.  The first time I saw the vehicle on the beach I assumed someone was getting rescued.  They made multiple dropoff and pickup trips. I never had the nerve to address it in any way.  There are also tire tracks (golf cart width) at our little garbage can cut through by the side of our driveway, so I guess some people are driving their carts all the way through.

Enjoyed a nice and uncrowded meal at Jesse's, the downstairs " Cold Hole" outdoor place that is much cheaper than the upstairs.  Limited menu but great sunset views and wasn't crowded at all.

Blue crabs were everywhere in the Gulf, in shallow water, must be mating season? Virginia caught our lunch one day with just the hand net down there.

Attaching some photos. Last one is a wildfire they were fighting and have under control, it's on the bay side sort of around Kiva Dunes/Surfside Shores. Middle one is me peering at the Gator driving Guy, Gladys Kravitz style.
