Captain's log Aug 24

The crabs were still in the shallows when we got there.
There were several turtle nests hatching during the time period we were there and we got to see one.
Dolphins were in great abundance in the bay particularly. Huge family pod with a bunch of juvenile dolphins.
Crowds were much lighter with school back in session. Very pleasant.
We put up a no motorized vehicle sign at the end of Ponce. Not sure I established it well enough.
We did a not of fun boating. And would love to get y'all out. At high tide we navigated up to the St. Andrews Bay inlet and were able to load and unload passengers (some wading involved).
Caught a beautiful speckled sea trout at the Sand Island Lighthouse. After cleaning and cooking, it was magnificent.
Tried but failed to make contact with neighbors.
Lid for trash bin still undelivered but supposedly on its way.
We have plenty of paper towels and toilet paper. Don't buy more. Will list other shopping items we are in need of.
We finally timed it right and got Danny's fried chicken and it was as good as I remembered it, maybe better. Circuits trip as they always do in the underneath slab.
The fire alarm went off mysteriously a couple of times in the morning. I took alarm off the wall in the downstairs adult room.
